Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Data Engineer to lead our data engineering team and drive the development of our data platform. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a high-performing team of data engineers and developing strategies to drive business growth through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the data engineering team: Manage a team of data engineers to design, develop, and maintain our data platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our business.
  2. Develop data strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  3. Manage data architecture: Design and implement data architecture that supports our business needs, ensuring data quality, security, and scalability.
  4. Implement best practices: Introduce and enforce best practices for data engineering, including data governance, data quality, and data security.

Requirements:

  1. Strong technical skills: Proven experience in data engineering, including data architecture, data warehousing, and data analytics.
  2. Leadership experience: Experience leading a team of data engineers and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Business acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and ability to develop data-driven strategies that drive business growth.
  4. Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Cloud experience: Experience working with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
  2. Big data experience: Experience working with big data technologies, such as Hadoop or Spark.
  3. Machine learning experience: Experience working with machine learning algorithms and techniques.
