About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Leader to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing data engineering team, designing and implementing data platforms, and driving data-driven decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a data engineering strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  2. Lead a team of data engineers in designing, building, and maintaining data platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, product, and engineering, to integrate data into business decisions.
  4. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, making recommendations for investment and adoption.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong technical expertise in data engineering, including experience with cloud environments, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  2. Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing high-performing teams and driving business outcomes.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and drive business strategy.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience working in the InsurTech industry or a similar sector.
  2. Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  3. Experience with data visualization tools and technologies.
