Support Assistant Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced support assistant to join our team at UKCIL Ltd. The successful candidate will work closely with a 12-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, and separation anxiety disorder.

About the Role:
  • Provide dedicated support to the child in various settings, including the home and community.
  • Focus on developing the child's daily living skills and promoting independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the child receives a comprehensive support package.
Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the child with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation.
  2. Encourage the child to participate in enjoyable activities, such as gaming, trampolining, swimming, and shopping trips.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to promote the child's emotional well-being and reduce challenging behavior.
Requirements and Salary:
  • Previous experience working with children who have special needs.
  • Ability to adapt to individual needs and requirements.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including afternoons and occasional evenings.
Benefits and Working Hours:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.09 and the chance to make a positive difference in a young person's life.

Term-time only, 10 hours per week, split into 2-3 sessions, 38 weeks per year.
