About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiographer to join our multidisciplinary team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

This part-time Band 5 Radiography Practitioner position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small but friendly district general hospital with rotation to small peripheral hospitals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services, working collaboratively with other members of the team, and contributing to the department's quality assurance programme.

Main Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing comprehensive and quality imaging services to patients
  • Assisting with supervision of Assistant Practitioners
  • Contributing to day-to-day organisation of the department
  • Liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Participating in the department's Quality Assurance programme
  • Attending clinical shifts as required, including evening and overnight working
  • Participating in the training and assessment of Student Radiographers from Sheffield Hallam University or Derby University

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc (Hons) Degree in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers
  • HCPC Registration
  • NHS experience, either as a student or qualified practitioner
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)

You will have access to a well-equipped department with four general/ED rooms, two interventional rooms, a cone beam CT dental room, two CT scanners, two MRI scanners, and a substantial ultrasound service based in the main department and in the ante-natal department.
