Dedicated Support Specialist for Inclusion Pathway

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our Inclusion Pathway Team as a specialist member. This part-time role involves working off-site with pupils and their families following permanent exclusion, providing guidance, support, and a positive first impression of our academy.
About the Role:
- Initial Engagement: Establish trust with pupils and families, understanding their immediate needs and concerns.
- Specialist Support: Provide interim educational and emotional support to pupils in their homes or other agreed locations until they transition to our site.
- Caseload Management: Adapt to a frequently changing caseload, ensuring timely and effective support for all new referrals.
- Parental Support: Assist families during challenging times, offering reassurance and introducing them to our academy's approach and resources.
- Collaboration: Liaise with the wider team to ensure a smooth and positive transition for pupils to the academy site.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Part-Time Off-Site IPT Member, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils and their families during critical moments. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building trust and rapport with pupils and families.
- Providing tailored support to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure a seamless transition for pupils.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience in supporting students and families during transitions or challenging times.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
- Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to manage a changing caseload effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with pupils, families, and academy staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all pupils.
