The Role

In this dynamic position, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them navigate the curriculum and overcome barriers to learning. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Curriculum Support: Deliver targeted assistance to pupils in small groups or one-on-one, ensuring alignment with the primary curriculum.
  2. Working with Challenging Pupils: Demonstrate resilience and patience while supporting pupils with complex needs and behaviours, fostering a positive learning environment.
  3. Off-Site Support: Work with pupils in alternative locations, adapting to their individual needs.
  4. Secondary Support: Provide occasional assistance to secondary pupils when required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a small, dedicated team, contributing to the overall success and cohesion of the site.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: Strong background as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting, with excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • Skillset: Proven ability to work with pupils who present challenging behaviours, coupled with high levels of resilience and empathy.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with pupils and their families.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work in various locations, including pupils' homes and community spaces.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to occasionally support secondary pupils as needed.

Salary and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive daily rate of £86-£100, providing a lucrative income. Additionally, you will benefit from opportunities for professional development and training, enhancing your skills in a collaborative and supportive working environment.
