About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and immediately available Strategic HR Business Partner to join our team at McGregor Boyall for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will support our Head Office, Transport, Solutions & Optimisation functions, providing strategic and tactical HR expertise for these core client groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, support, and deliver the tactical, transactional, and strategic agenda across head office, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and coaching on all aspects of policy and process, with a focus on employee relations and employment law.
  • Work on initiatives to enhance employee engagement, communication, and performance, ensuring alignment with employment policies, processes, and regulation.
  • Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, employee relations, learning, and organizational change.
  • Collaborate with the broader People function to drive cohesive and aligned strategies.
  • Drive organizational change through the business with a clear and impactful change process.
  • Analyze data and trends to develop people insights and influence change.
  • Work on ad hoc projects aligned to the people agenda as required, using strong project management methodology.
Requirements
  • CIPD qualified
  • Experience of operating as a People/HR Manager with a full generalist remit, ideally within a head office/corporate headquarters with the transport/logistics/manufacturing sector
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement with the ability to engage people through change
  • Strong change management and project management
  • Strong knowledge of Employee Relations with the ability to deal with complex issues and a strong understanding of employment law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of analytics, organizational skills, and attention to detail
