Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our Children and Young People's Psychological Services (CYPPS) team in East Lancashire. As a key member of our senior management team, you will provide clinical leadership and supervision to our team, contributing to the development and delivery of our specialist psychological therapy services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to our team, ensuring high-quality care and support for children and young people.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our specialist psychological therapy services, including assessment, formulation, and therapy.
  • Work systemically with the broader system, including families, carers, and other professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in service developments, leadership, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance our services and outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Doctoral-level training in clinical psychology or equivalent.Substantial experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist with children, young people, and their families.Formal training in supervision of other psychologists.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners.
