Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Conrad Consulting. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing various engineering disciplines across multiple residential projects, providing expert advice on utilities and planning obligations, and collaborating with legal teams to secure relevant Section Agreements.

About the Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will conduct site appraisals for new land acquisitions, develop comprehensive tender packages for infrastructure design, and manage third-party consultants to support cost analysis. You will also be responsible for resolving issues arising during the construction phase and coordinating the final inspection, vesting, and adoption of infrastructure assets.

Requirements
  • A minimum of HNC/HND qualification in an engineering-related discipline with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in residential housing, either within a development company or private practice, and a solid understanding of highways, drainage, and utilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working with external consultants, local authorities, and flood authorities.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent coordination abilities.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Experience with design software such as AutoCAD and MicroDrainage is desirable but not essential.

You will be a confident and competent engineer, willing to represent the company at public events, so first-class communication skills are vital.
