Highway Engineering Project Lead

About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Engineering Project Lead to join our East region team. As a permanent employee, you will oversee the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes, ensuring they meet the required standards and customer expectations.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- You will lead a team of engineers in developing and implementing pavement renewal strategies that align with company policies and standards.
- You will conduct and lead early solution development for renewals and improvements, considering factors such as cost-effectiveness, buildability, and environmental impact.
- Develop technical works briefs for procurement of external design resources and survey works, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared.
- Support technical reviews and approvals for preliminary and detailed design solutions, guaranteeing compliance with industry standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- A Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and a member of a relevant professional Body or working towards with relevant experience.
- Expertise in asset management, including asset condition assessment, degradation modelling, and risk management.
- Sound understanding of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards and their application in the highway network.
- Proven experience in highway infrastructure design, construction, and delivery methods.
- Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
