We are seeking a skilled Highway Drainage Engineer to join our team at Carrington West. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of highway drainage and the ability to solve problems related to highway drainage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining highway drainage and identifying potential problems caused by lack of maintenance. They will also be required to understand statutory processes for implementing drainage schemes on private land and obtain relevant discharge consents.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Practical knowledge and appreciation of highway drainage
  • Familiarity with maintenance of highway drainage and problem-solving
  • Understanding of statutory processes for implementing drainage schemes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of standard drawings and DMRB applicable to drainage works
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and standards in drainage works and health and safety
  • Ability to identify specific hazards associated with construction of drainage works
  • Capable of carrying out site surveys, including levelling works
  • Able to manage workload of multiple projects and prioritise accordingly
  • Able to instruct and supervise on-site CCTV survey/jetting works
