We are seeking an experienced Highways Assessment Officer to join our Highways Team in Halesworth, Suffolk. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to make a meaningful difference in our services and support the communities we serve.
Job Description
We require someone who can conduct regular highway safety inspections, respond to customer reports by carrying out ad-hoc safety inspections and providing updates on the outcomes, initiate reactive repair works based on inspection findings to restore the highway to a safe condition, and perform regular audits of completed works to ensure high-quality standards are upheld.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and complete inspections on time
- Flexibility to travel to multiple locations as needed
- Ability to work with and adapt to developing technology and software systems used in highway management and inspections
Benefits
This is a permanent position offering £32,076 per annum (pro rata if part time), 37 hours per week, with flexible working options available.
