The role of a SEN Learning Support Specialist is to provide one-to-one support to children with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. We are looking for an Education Assistant for Children who is committed to fostering a love of learning in every child. As a member of our team, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will be responsible for providing individualized support to children with varying levels of need, including those with physical or learning disabilities.

About the Role

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support children with varying levels of need.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistency and continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a SEN setting.
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
