Job Title: IT Apprentice

We are seeking an IT Apprentice to join our team at QA Apprenticeships. As an IT Apprentice, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our colleagues, including software and hardware support for workstations, account management support, and network infrastructure maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Imaging laptops, desktops, servers, notebooks, and tablets
  • Installing laptops, desktops, servers, notebooks, and tablets on site
  • Installing cabling, CAT5, CAT6A, CAT7, and OS2, OM4 fibre
  • Installing and programming various switches, firewalls, routers, and printers
  • Working with Desktop Engineers to maintain image libraries
  • Troubleshooting software issues with laptops, desktops, servers, notebooks, and tablets
  • Acting as an account admin for various software products
  • Assisting with wireless account management
  • Troubleshooting network issues
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, group policies, and user account management
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Future Prospects:

90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
