Main Scope and Purpose of the Role:

The Housekeeping Floor Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, working areas, and hotel premises. This includes coordinating daily housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards are met, and delivering excellent guest service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise room attendants and house porters
  • Organize and facilitate the room cleaning process
  • Allocate rooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members
  • Confirm housekeeping staff members have arrived or find substitutes for absent employees
  • Prepare and distribute room assignment sheets and floor keys
  • Inspect guest rooms to ensure they meet standards
  • Manage guest requests and communicate with relevant team members
  • Deal with lost property and report maintenance issues
  • Carry out on-job training and assist other departments as needed

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Provide a friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times
  • Basic computer operating skills
  • Team worker
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
