About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations and People to join our team in Oxford. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of our business, ensuring smooth and efficient business processes, and directly supporting our owners in achieving strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations in our gyms, holiday camps, and social impact initiatives to ensure the business runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support a team of managers and coaches, fostering a positive and productive work environment that embodies our core values of kindness, inclusivity, community, and impact.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with our owners to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with our company's mission and goals.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a consistently high level of customer service and satisfaction, addressing client feedback and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance, providing regular reports to our owners.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies, implementing best practices across all areas of the business.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and clients.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage special projects, initiatives, and events that support our company's growth and community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an operational management role, preferably in the fitness, health, or wellness industries.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically, with initiative and make sound decisions.
  • Customer Focus: Dedication to providing excellent customer service and enhancing the client experience.
  • Passion for Health and Fitness: A genuine interest in health, fitness, and well-being, aligning with our company's mission and core values.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work shifts and cover studios as needed.
