Job Title: HR Advisor

Are you passionate about HR and ready to make a meaningful impact? We're seeking an HR Advisor to join our dynamic team at Hays Business Support.

About the Role:

The HR Advisor will play a crucial role in supporting our site's operational HR needs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You'll be responsible for delivering operational HR support, guidance, and advice, handling employee relations, people development, resourcing, and reward activities, all while maintaining compliance with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement site people plan to enhance performance and drive business growth.
  2. Manage employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and other HR-related matters, in line with company policies.
  3. Provide day-to-day support to managers on employee relations, development, and reward, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  4. Drive HR projects within budget and policy guidelines, ensuring effective change management and minimal disruption to business operations.
  5. Coordinate operational change management projects, including shift changes, restructures, and other organizational changes.
  6. Ensure robust contract management processes are in place, maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Foster effective communication across the site through regular coffee shop sessions and other engagement initiatives.
  8. Represent HR in daily Tier 2 operational meetings, providing expert advice and guidance on HR-related matters.
  9. Uphold ethical standards and maintain accreditation, ensuring compliance with Sedex, Plan A, and Agency Audits.
  10. Support recruitment efforts to fill vacancies, ensuring a pipeline of qualified candidates.
Requirements:
  1. Generalist HR experience covering all aspects of HR management, including employee relations, people development, and reward.
  2. Ideally, CIPD qualified (Level 5) or working towards it, demonstrating a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  3. Success in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, with excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  4. Proficient in managing complex employee relations issues, with a strong understanding of UK employment legislation.
  5. Excellent communication abilities, with the ability to convey technical HR information in a clear and concise manner.
