Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Respiratory Physiology team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support to our clinical staff and patients, ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date hospital systems and records
  • Ensure all patient records are complete and compliant with local and national standards
  • Coordinate and book appointments, clinics, and outcomes
  • Liaise with peripheral hospitals and external organizations
  • Process and manage medical records and documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Prioritize workloads to meet deadlines and targets
  • Support reception duties and provide cover for colleagues

Person Specification
  • GCSE level or equivalent, including English Grade C or above
  • Computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office
  • Customer service skills and experience in data input
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize workload
  • Good communication and initiative skills
