Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Respiratory Physiology team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential support to our clinical staff and patients, ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date hospital systems, including patient records and data input.
  • Ensure all patient records are complete and compliant with local and national standards.
  • Coordinate and book appointments, clinics, and outcomes, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Liaise with peripheral hospitals and external organizations to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to telephone queries and providing information and guidance to patients, carers, and visitors.
  • Prioritize workloads to meet deadlines and targets, working flexibly to support the team.

Person Specification
  • GCSE level or equivalent, including English Grade C or above.
  • Computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office, customer service skills, and data input experience.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritize workload, and possess good communication and initiative skills.
  • Desirable: some knowledge and understanding of RTT, working with the public.
