About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. As a key member of our clinical service, you will work closely with our experienced team to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions to individuals experiencing common mental health problems.

As a Trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in low-intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (LI-CBT) and other NHS-approved modalities. You will work in a supportive environment that prioritizes workforce wellbeing and provides high-quality supervision in both individual and group settings.

Key responsibilities will include delivering low-intensity psychological interventions, facilitating psychoeducational courses, and working closely with GPs and staff in Primary Care settings to improve access and develop resources aimed at promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Person Specification
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a subject enabling the post holder to demonstrate psychological mindedness.
  • Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy, or within a psychological therapy.
  • Received training (either formal or through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice.
Experience
  • Significant evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care.
  • Experience of working in Primary Care Services.
Personal Skills, Abilities and Attributes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent telephone skills.
Other Requirements
  • Full driving licence with use of own transport for business purposes.
  • Fluent in languages other than English.
