Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Learning Disability Services team in Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the psychological health and well-being of individuals with learning disabilities, providing specialist assessment and intervention services, and contributing to research and audit activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention services to individuals and groups, using a variety of applied psychology models.
  • Conduct clinical supervision for pre-qualified psychology staff and provide placements and supervision to Doctoral Clinical Psychology trainees.
  • Participate in research and audit activities, utilizing research skills for audit, policy, and service development.
  • Deliver clinical services within the community team and wider LD Psychology service area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong and welcoming multi-disciplinary team, working to deliver an applied psychology model that promotes effective psychological outcomes. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a wide range of settings and locations, including client homes, residential services, and educational facilities.

Person Specification
  • Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or an equivalent Applied Psychology qualification.
Desirable
  • Receipt of at least 25 hours of clinical supervision while working at a highly specialist level in a directly relevant area.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £46,148 to £60,504 per annum, pro rata. We offer a range of benefits, including a supportive working environment, opportunities for professional development, and a competitive salary package.
