We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a mainstream school in Chesterfield. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

The role involves ensuring that school policies and procedures are in line with the latest governmental SEN policies and regulations. This includes implementing protocols for effective teaching assistants and providing training for teachers and teaching assistants. Additionally, the successful candidate will assess the specific educational needs of children with learning disabilities and provide recommendations for their support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the specific educational needs of children with learning disabilities and provide recommendations for their support.
  • Ensure that school policies and procedures are in line with the latest governmental SEN policies and regulations.
  • Implement protocols for effective teaching assistants and provide training for teachers and teaching assistants.
Requirements:
  • QTS and SENCO qualification.
  • An experienced SENCO/Senior Leader looking to move into inclusion.
  • Experience working with SEND students within a large and diverse inner-city school.
Salary: Up to £190 per day
