Special Education Tutor

This position is a part-time opportunity designed to provide personalized instruction and support to students with special needs. The role involves working evenings and weekends to bridge achievement gaps, reinforce and supplement classroom learning, and address specific academic areas of difficulty.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized instruction tailored to each student's needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and address specific academic areas of difficulty, using research-based strategies and resources to promote student growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, collaborating with teachers and other educators to inform instruction and drive student achievement.
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching Certificate/License with one or more endorsement(s) in Special Education. Prior experience teaching students with disabilities and preparing IEPs is also highly desirable.
