Support Staff for Pupils with Special Needs

At St Mary's Catholic High School, we believe that every student deserves support to reach their full potential. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with special educational needs in a temporary capacity.
Job OverviewThis temporary role involves working 25 hours a week over 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day. The position is term-time only (39 weeks including INSET days) and comes with an annual salary of £16,421 pro rata.
Duties:- Providing academic support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
- Fostering positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
Essential Qualifications:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills with 5 GCSEs Grade 4 or above, including English and Mathematics.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- An enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
