Mental Health Practitioner Position in Community Setting

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing timely support and assistance to clients who are struggling with their mental health and experiencing emotional distress.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct brief assessments to understand the client's current mental health status, risks, and determine appropriate interventions.
- Offer emotional support, connecting clients with additional resources, services, or support groups for ongoing care and assistance.
- Provide psychoeducation, helping clients understand their mental health issues and develop coping strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to identify challenges and develop effective coping strategies and plans to address their needs and goals.
- Make home visits prior to referring to the Crisis and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) when necessary.
Requirements
- Professional Qualification at Diploma or Degree level in mental health nursing/social work/occupational therapy.
- Demonstrable post-basic experience in Mental Health.
- Sound knowledge base and excellent knowledge of MHA 2007, the MHA Bill, and MCA.

- Ability to prioritise and plan own workload to meet deadlines and competing demands.
- Excellent knowledge of MHA 2007, the MHA Bill, and MCA.
