Job Summary
We are looking for a Mental Health Assistant - Redruth to join our team at Mencap. This role involves providing support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting independence and well-being. You will be working in a dynamic and diverse environment, assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support daily activities such as carriage driving, dance classes, volunteering jobs, walks along the beach, café trips, power boating, swimming.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with service users.

Essential Requirements:
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to work varied shifts.
  • Hold a positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract Details: Part-time: 25 hours, Shift times: Days (07:30-22:00), Split shifts (15:30/16:00), Sleep ins (22:00-09:00). Enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45 available for sleep-ins.
