Job Description

The Head of Portfolio Governance and Assurance is a key role in supporting the House of Commons to deliver its ambitious and challenging change agenda. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to drive change and work in a historic and iconic organisation.

This senior and pivotal role sits within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) and works with the Director of EPMO to lead the strategic management and oversight of the House of Commons' portfolio of programmes and projects, with specific responsibility for programme and project Governance and Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide governance and integrated assurance advice, risk potential assessments, and gateway reviews for a large and diverse portfolio of projects.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships and influence people at all levels within the organisation, including a challenging customer base.
  • Provide leadership, set strategic objectives, develop and motivate teams to deliver results across formal reporting lines.
  • Anticipate and manage high-level risks and uncertainties.
