Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing leadership team within Psychological Therapies and the South Network. The post holder will take a lead on the provision and development of Older Adult services across the trust footprint, as well as joining our South Network leadership team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The post holder will join the senior leadership team in the South Division Network, becoming part of the collective leadership team for the care network. They will be responsible for all psychological therapies in the Care Network, with a specific focus on Older Adult services. The post holder will provide clinical and professional leadership, ensuring excellence in service delivery, staff wellbeing, patient experience, and outcomes.

Person Specification
  • Good honours degree in psychology
  • Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology, as accredited by the BPS
  • HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist (clinical)
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
Key Skills and Abilities
  • Highly developed knowledge of clinical psychology, including lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology
  • Ability to communicate effectively at both written and oral level, complex, highly technical, and clinically sensitive information
  • Highly developed skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups
  • Ability to think and plan strategically at a clinical and service level
