**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Clinical Director to join our team at Pennine Care NHS FT. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic clinical leadership for our older adult mental health services.

**Key Responsibilities**

The successful candidate will have a good honours degree in psychology, eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS. You will also have substantial experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist within older adult services and experience of effective multi-agency and disciplinary team working and networking.

You will be responsible for leading on policy development and implementation as related to psychological service provision across older adult pathways and supporting the implementation of the Trust Mental Health strategy. Additionally, you will undertake audit, teaching, and research activities and promote research activity within the older adult care pathway.

**Requirements**

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of providing clinical and professional leadership, experience of teaching, training, and/or professional and clinical supervision, and knowledge of legislation and its implications for both clinical practice and professional management in relation to the client group and mental health.

They will also have skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management, high-level ability to communicate effectively at both written and oral levels, and highly developed skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
