Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the 24-hour Trust-wide Mental Health Helpline, ensuring high-quality services are delivered and developed. This role involves working closely with Associate Directors, senior management teams, and partner agencies to drive service improvements and ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) essential standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

This position requires a senior clinical practitioner with significant experience in mental health leadership and management. Key responsibilities include managing clinical and non-clinical standards of care, implementing quality service improvements, and providing operational coordination and management across the 24-hour Trust-wide Mental Health Helpline.

Person Specification
  • Qualified and registered Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Occupational Therapist (OT), or similar qualifications
  • Postgraduate training relevant to mental health, leadership, or management
  • Evidence of continued professional development and significant experience as a senior clinical practitioner in mental health
  • Management and/or leadership experience in mental health services
  • Clinical experience in various mental health settings
  • Ability to deliver service innovation, development, and change
  • Budgetary management and ability to establish professional boundaries
  • Proven effective leadership skills and ability to motivate staff
  • Ability to reflect on and critically appraise own performance
