About the Role
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Older People Psychiatry. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a sectorised model, collaborating with a team of sector consultants and junior doctors to provide high-quality mental health care for older adults.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide mental health care for older adults with severe and enduring mental health problems, both inpatient and community-based.
- To work closely with other teams and consultants to ensure coherent and high-quality mental health care for older adults.
- To contribute to the development of the service and attend local and divisional service development meetings.
Requirements
- Full registration with the GMC and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for inclusion.
- Excellent knowledge and clinical skills in Older People Psychiatry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
