Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team within the female pathway of the Rehabilitation and High Support (RHS) Care hub in Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The postholder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality psychological services to women with complex mental health needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with complex mental health problems, including distressing psychosis, problems associated with complex relational and emotional needs, and severe depression, anxiety, and trauma. They will also have experience in providing clinical supervision to psychologists and other mental health professionals.

The postholder will be responsible for promoting and managing a high-quality psychology service across the women's rehabilitation wards and will be supported by an Assistant Psychologist. They will provide direct face-to-face clinical sessions and support the psychosocial intervention work of colleagues.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology and will be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. They will also have experience in clinical leadership and providing teaching/training on clinical interventions.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide high-quality psychological services to women with complex mental health needs
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote and manage a high-quality psychology service
  • Provide direct face-to-face clinical sessions and support the psychosocial intervention work of colleagues
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychologists and other mental health professionals
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed care approaches across the service

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Experience in working with complex mental health problems
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision to psychologists and other mental health professionals
  • Experience in clinical leadership and providing teaching/training on clinical interventions
