Highly Specialist Psychologist/Psychotherapist

The Greater Manchester Resilience Hub (GMRH) is a pioneering, all-age psychology-led service that has been at the forefront of delivering innovative, trauma-responsive care. As a highly specialist psychologist/psychotherapist, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides a unique blend of support services to individuals, families, and communities affected by trauma.
With a strong focus on staff wellbeing and organisational development, the GMRH offers a supportive and stimulating work environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of professionals, develop your skills in consultation and supervision, and contribute to the development of trauma-responsive approaches across Greater Manchester.
Main Duties of the JobAs a highly specialist psychologist/psychotherapist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist psychological therapies to individuals, families, and groups affected by trauma
- Developing and delivering training packages on trauma-responsive care to multi-agency professionals
- Collaborating with colleagues to design and implement trauma-responsive approaches across Greater Manchester
- Providing clinical supervision and consultation to professionals working with individuals and families affected by trauma

Person SpecificationTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A doctorate in clinical/counselling psychology and registration with the Health Professions Council
- Experience of working as a qualified clinical/counselling psychologist or highly specialist psychotherapist in the NHS
- Knowledge of trauma-responsive approaches and experience of working with individuals and families affected by trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
While not essential, the following qualifications and experiences would be highly desirable:
- Post-qualification training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
- Experience of working with complex safeguarding issues and developing trauma-responsive approaches
- Knowledge of Governmental and Strategic policies and national clinical guidance in relation to children and young people, mental health, and CAMHS
