About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Operational Support Assistant at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the operational side of our Urology Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the department, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, patients, and visitors, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the senior management team to ensure the smooth operation of the department, including problem-solving and prioritizing tasks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust standards.

Requirements

  • Good general education, including English and maths qualifications.
  • Business Administration NVQ or equivalent experience in an administrative environment.
  • Level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Good keyboard and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and MS Teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel to multiple sites and adapt to changing circumstances.
