About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Urology Department as an Operational Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the operational side of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, patients, and visitors, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Work closely with the senior management team to ensure the smooth operation of the department, including managing budgets, resources, and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Good general education, including English and maths qualifications.
  • Business Administration NVQ or equivalent experience in an administrative environment.
  • Level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Good keyboard and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and MS Teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel to multiple sites and work in a fast-paced environment.
