Key Responsibilities for the Risk Management Leader
Risk Management
- Conduct risk assessments and create risk profiles for various processes, systems, and projects.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and suggest improvements as needed.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with regulatory compliance and information security.
Regulatory Compliance
- Support license application with regulatory bodies.
- Assist in preparing for and responding to regulatory audits and reviews.
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements and ensure that our risk management practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and information security teams to address regulatory changes and their impact on the organization.
Information Security Support
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security controls and procedures to protect sensitive information.
- Support the development and maintenance of information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Work with the Information Security team and CISO to assess and manage risks related to information security, including data breaches, cyber threats, and system vulnerabilities.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare risk assessment reports and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Document risk management processes, findings, and recommendations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of risk management activities and compliance efforts.
Requirements
- Expertise in market and financial risk management, ideally within capital markets with knowledge of the Crypto / Digital Asset sector.
- Strong understanding of information security governance, risk assessments, and industry-recognized frameworks including NIST and ISO27001.
- Proven knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FCA, AMF, BMA, MICA, DORA, GDPR, and security governance.
- Ability to engage across all layers of a business both domestically and internationally.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and apply project management methodology.
