About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as a Locum Consultant in Child Mental Health. The successful candidate will work within our multidisciplinary community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Swansea Bay.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services to children and adolescents with mental health needs. This will include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, as well as providing guidance and support to other healthcare professionals.

The role will also involve working closely with other teams, including community paediatrics and adult mental health services, to ensure seamless care for our patients.

Requirements
  • Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice
  • On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview
  • Experience of working in a CAMHS setting and ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of staff
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and relatives
