SEN / ASD Specialist Opportunity

An outstanding primary school in Hackney is seeking a dedicated SEN / ASD Specialist to support pupils with Autism. The school has a strong reputation for providing high-quality education and has a stable, passionate, and friendly team.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified primary teacher with UK QTS, who has a drive and passion for supporting students with Autism. The role involves working alongside the Assistant Headteachers and SENCO to support pupils, mainly in an out-of-class setting. When teaching, the Specialist will lead small groups / interventions of 2-3 pupils at a time.

The school offers a range of benefits, including a permanent contract, full-time position, and competitive salary (MPS3-MPS6 Inner London Weighting). The successful candidate will also have access to plenty of CPD opportunities and a supportive Head Teacher and welcoming SLT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Autism within a mainstream primary school
  • Run small groups and interventions of 2-3 children at the same time
  • Work effectively as part of a large team

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status is a MUST
  • A Primary Teacher with strong SEN & Autism experience is essential
  • Must be graded 'Good or Outstanding' in lesson observations
