Autism Spectrum Condition Specialist

Beacon Support Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Autism Mentor to support Higher Education students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). As a Specialist Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome their disability-related difficulties and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support to students with ASC, helping them develop coping strategies and techniques to overcome their difficulties.
- Work closely with students to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and develop personalized plans to support their academic success.
- Collaborate with the student's support team to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to their support.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the student's individual needs, and adapt your support accordingly.
- Hold a degree at minimum, and have had comprehensive training in adult autism.
- Have experience of working with students in higher or further education.
- Hold a relevant qualification or certification in autism training, such as the NAS 6 modules and SPELL course.
- A competitive hourly rate of £30-£40.
- A thorough induction training and staff development program.
- A dynamic CPD program with regular training events, including ADHD and ASC training.
- A flexible and autonomous working environment, with regular access to a support manager.
