We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Genomics Researcher to join our Translational Genomics and Precision Medicine Department at Novo Nordisk A/S.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute genomics experiments to identify novel biomarkers and drug targets.
  • Develop and apply machine learning algorithms to analyze large-scale genomics data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate genomics insights into drug development pipelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in genomics and AI techniques, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in our research.
About the Department

You will be part of our Human Genetics CoE, which focuses on using data science and human genetics to discover and develop new drug targets and biomarkers. Our team is passionate about applying cutting-edge genomics and AI techniques to drive innovation in drug development.

Requirements
  • Ph.D. in human genetics, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in genomics research.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as R, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases, including UK Biobank, All of Us, and Genomics England.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with population stratification, Mendelian randomization, and polygenic risk score analysis.
  • Understanding of multi-omics data, including transcriptomic, proteomic, and epigenomic data.
  • Experience with biomarker discovery and validation.
