About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as an Apprentice Mental Health Care Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality person-centred care in a fast-paced acute mental health environment.

The role involves working on an 18-bedded ward providing assessment and treatment for adults who require support in crisis. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that promotes a holistic approach, utilising various mental health professionals to deliver patient-centred care.

As an apprentice within the NHS, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, learn new skills, and obtain a Level 2 qualification relevant to your role. You will be given regular training with a college or other training organisation, with around 20% of your working hours dedicated to training or studying.

This is an excellent chance to develop a successful and fulfilling career within the healthcare sector. Our team works closely with other professionals to ensure successful recovery for individuals, providing 24-hour, 7-day-a-week healthcare cover.

You will be required to escort patients on leave, observe and report their condition, and carry out simple nursing procedures as instructed by Registered Nurses. Physical health is a top priority for us, and we provide full training for all aspects of the role.
