We are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Library Services Team at the University of Salford as an Information Support Assistant.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, responding to enquiries, and promoting library services and programs to students. This role involves building relationships with students, anticipating and meeting their needs, and being confident in dealing with challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to student enquiries regarding library services, resources, and space bookings.
  • Promote library services and programs to students through outreach and engagement activities.
  • Engage with students to build a positive and inclusive library community.
  • Maintain the use of library spaces and services, addressing any challenging behavior in accordance with library policies.
About the Team

The Library Services team is committed to providing high-quality learning spaces and excellent frontline support to students. We aim to create a sense of belonging at the University by delivering services that meet the needs of our students.

What You'll Need
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experience working in a customer service environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidence in dealing with challenging behavior.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. The University of Salford offers a range of benefits, including access to a pension scheme, annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
