Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our client, a leading civil engineering and construction firm, on a temporary contract in the North East of England. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a prestigious rail project in the region.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the civil engineering industry, preferably from a main contractor background. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring delivery teams collect and certify assurance evidence
- Compiling and reviewing evidence for compliance against project specifications, drawings, and industry standards
- Supporting the Quality Manager in reviewing Inspection & Test Plans and material approvals
- Interface with the supply chain to promote a right-first-time approach to works on site
- Undertaking site surveillance to verify works are compliant
- Providing regular feedback to the delivery team and Quality Manager on QA performance
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Highways Specification experience or Network Rail experience preferred
- Internal Auditor preferred
- PCQI preferred
A wide understanding of the industry, including knowledge of industry standards and expectations, is essential for this position.
