About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Service Assistant to join our team at Ben-Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food services to our internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting the Executive Head Chef/Head Chef/Chef: You will work closely with our Executive Head Chef/Head Chef/Chef to ensure the delivery of exceptional catering services, meeting the varied needs of our customers.

Food Preparation and Service: You will assist with the preparation and cooking of appetising, nutritionally balanced meals, using appropriate quantities and ingredients, and ensure that food is ready for service at the correct time.

Dining Room Support: You will prepare the dining room for food service, provide food and beverage service to customers, and collect catering service equipment following meal service.

Cleaning and Health and Safety: You will maintain a clean working environment in the kitchen, cold room, and stores, and comply with current Fire, Health & Safety at Work, Safe Food Handling, and Environmental Health legislation.

Training and Development: You will participate in the implementation of quality assurance programmes within catering services and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and experience.
