We are seeking a highly organized and efficient School Secretary/Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to provide effective daily administrative support for the smooth running of our school.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing information, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
  • Process and check sensitive information, such as DBS checks.
  • Welcoming and escorting visitors to their destination.
  • Deal with parents, pupils, and visitors in person, phone, email, and manage written correspondence as directed by the Headteacher.
  • Prepare and post daily attendance lists for breakfast club, after-school club, extra-curricular clubs, activities, and trips.
  • Administer medicines/inhalers to children.
  • Daily maintenance of class registers. Attendance monitoring, reporting, and referrals.
  • Control of the School's SIMS database and entering pupil information. Completing and submitting accurate School Census data.
  • Process school admissions, reception intake, casual admissions, and leavers.
  • Administration of ParentMail; Newsletters, trips, payments, parent evening, registers, messages.
  • Responding to ad hoc requests from staff for reports and assistance.
  • Assisting with administration for recruitment of staff.
  • Be aware of and comply with the School's policies and procedures, in particular those relating to child protection and the safeguarding of children, equal opportunities, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection.
