Nuclear Safety Expert for Enhanced Warhead Systems

About the RoleAWE is currently recruiting for a highly skilled Warhead Surety Engineer to join the Enhanced Nuclear Safety Team. This team of experts develops innovative technologies and products to enhance the Surety (Safety, Security, and Dependability) of current and future product systems.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake frequent visits to both UK and overseas delivery partners, working within the Warhead Engineering Surety Group.
- A strong degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Science related discipline.
- An understanding of Systems Engineering methods and techniques.
- A willingness to travel both in the UK and overseas.
- Functional verification & validation testing/trials.
- Mechanical engineering & design (including CAD, engineering analysis & drawing).
- Postgraduate degree such as MSc, MEng, and PhD.
- A competitive annual salary of £80,000 - £120,000, based on experience.
- A 9-day working fortnight, allowing for every other Friday off work, plus 270 hours of annual leave.
