Job Brief: We are currently seeking a Part-Time Special Educational Specialist to join our team at Schoolsmutualservices. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students with special educational needs in Key Stage 1 and 2.

About the Position: This part-time role offers a competitive salary of around £29,500 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience. The ideal candidate will have a recognised UK teaching qualification or equivalent, experience working with children, and be able to commute to Durham. A current DBS Certificate or willingness to undertake an application is also necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Providing individual support to students with special educational needs;
  2. Assisting teachers in developing and implementing individual education plans;
  3. Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to teachers and parents;
  4. Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment;
  5. Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
