About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for inspiring and developing your onsite engineering team to create a safe and high-performing team that maximizes uptime on our site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of engineers to achieve site objectives
  • Implement and maintain a culture of safety and high performance
  • Develop and implement best practices to improve site efficiency and productivity
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with the site leadership team
  • Support the continuous improvement of a safe and high-performing culture within the engineering teams

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualified mechanical or electrical engineer
  • Previous engineering/maintenance management and leadership experience
  • Experience of managing health and safety within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • An engineering/asset management qualification
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Budget/P&L management skills
  • Comfortable with the use of Microsoft applications and ability to use or learn to use others
