Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Service Director to lead our service team at Jude's Homecare Ltd.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, manage daily operations, and ensure quality care and compliance in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Management:
    • Develop and communicate the service's strategic plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
    • Maintain high-quality operations, upholding standards that meet budgetary guidelines from the provider.
    • Provide leadership to the care and administrative staff, prioritizing the welfare of service users.
    • Actively market the service and secure agreements at set rates.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead recruitment efforts, induct new staff, and conduct annual appraisals and regular supervision for all department heads.
    • Mentor and support staff to reach their full potential, developing succession plans to maintain service continuity.
    • Evaluate and improve collaboration within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Service Evaluation & Compliance:
    • Implement and evaluate the service's policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory demands.
    • Gather feedback from service users, families, and external agencies to enhance service delivery.
    • Monitor weekly expenditures to maintain adherence to financial plans.
    • Ensure accurate record-keeping, meeting statutory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Good written and spoken English, Social Care Qualification.
  • Registered Manager's Award or equivalent qualifications in care or healthcare management.
  • Strong written communication, record-keeping, and budget management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Experience:
  • Experience in a similar environment, team leadership, and supervisory roles.
  • Previous experience as a Service Manager, managing budgets, and working with service users with additional support needs.
