Job Title

Healthcare Services Director

Location: Inverness, IV1 1NF (with flexibility to work from other locations as needed)

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours as required

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Manager, you will lead our service team and provide strategic direction, manage daily operations, and ensure quality care and compliance.

Operational Excellence

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain high standards of service delivery, ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide leadership to the care and administrative staff, prioritizing the welfare of service users.
  • Market the service, securing agreements at set rates.

Team Performance

  • Lead recruitment efforts, induct new staff, and conduct regular supervision and annual appraisals.
  • Mentor and support staff to reach their full potential, developing succession plans.
  • Ensure effective collaboration within the multidisciplinary team.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Implement and evaluate policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Gather and act on feedback from service users, families, and external agencies to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor weekly expenditures and adhere to estimated costs.
  • Ensure accurate, legible records comply with statutory requirements.

Professional Growth

  • Engage in ongoing training and development, including statutory training as required.
  • Stay informed of industry developments and apply them to improve service standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Qualifications

  • Essential: Good written and spoken English, Social Care Qualification.
  • Desirable: Registered Manager's Award, NVQ Level 4 in Leadership & Management, or equivalent qualifications.

Skills and Attributes

  • Essential: Strong written communication, record-keeping, and budget management skills.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of diverse communication methods.

Experience

  • Essential: Experience in a similar environment, team leadership, and supervisory roles.
  • Desirable: Previous experience as a Service Manager, managing budgets, and working with service users.
